

This isn't really necessary any more as Tweetdeck have introduced deck.ly which auto-shortens tweets longer than 140 characters and turns them into a "read more" link Tweetshrink - if you are one or two characters over the 140 tweet limit then this facility will try and shrink your tweet for you. You will need to enter some settings to use this (more further down)
